The women attorneys of Oles Morrison will host a networking gathering for women leaders involved in the construction industry on Thursday, November 7, 2013 from 4:30pm – 7:30pm at the Oles Morrison Rinker & Baker Law Offices in Downtown Seattle.

The participating women will represent all facets of the construction industry, including contractors, engineers, accountants, experts and attorneys. The casual gathering will feature gourmet food, wine and treats from women-owned businesses. Women from through the Northwest and West Coast are invited to stop by to network with their peers in the industry.

The Women Leaders in Construction group meets several times throughout the year for both networking and educational purposes. The group also has a virtual presence on LinkedIn to further promote information-sharing and to broaden the network.

Oles Morrison attorney, Meghan Douris, founded Women Leaders in Construction in 2012 and it has since grown to include more than 50 active members. “This group really was inspired by my own experience working in the construction industry. While more women are rising to leadership positions in the industry, we are still outnumbered by men,” said Douris. “We have women who head up divisions at large contracting or service firms as well as women who own their own small businesses, all of whom find great value in meeting one another in an informal setting.”
