Barat M. LaPorte , a lifelong Alaskan, joins Oles Morrison to head up the firm’s Anchorage office. She represents companies and individuals in complex civil litigation matters.

Barat’s practice spans on a broad range of issues, including natural resources, environmental law, e-discovery, government investigations, complicated financial and commercial disputes and consumer products. Her litigation experience includes jury and non-jury trials in both state and federal court, administrative appeals and state and federal appellate work.

As a lawyer who has practiced in Alaska for nearly 20 years, Barat is focused on protecting the interest of her clients and the community they call home. Using her problem-solving abilities and experience in the Alaska legal system, Barat helps individuals and businesses avoid and resolve litigation and related issues.

Barat is an outdoor enthusiast who loves to be involved with youth sports, in particular soccer and volleyball.
