Oles Morrison partners, Douglas Oles , Peter Ralston  and Michael Geraghty , have all been recognized as Fellows of the American Bar Foundation.

The Fellows  is an honorary organization of attorneys, judges, law faculty, and legal scholars whose public and private careers have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the welfare of their communities and to the highest principles of the legal profession.  Membership in The Fellows is limited to one percent of lawyers licensed to practice in each jurisdiction. Members are nominated by their peers and elected by the Board of the American Bar Foundation. Established in 1955, The Fellows support the research of the American Bar Foundation through their annual contributions and sponsor seminars and events of direct relevance to the legal profession.

Mike has been a Fellow since June 2011, Doug has been a Life Fellow since July 2014, and Pete has been a Fellow since August 2014.

For more than 25 years, Doug has concentrated his practice on helping clients to avoid and resolve disputes on complex contracts relating to construction, supply, energy, real estate development and intellectual property licensing. Today, he is also increasingly involved as a neutral mediator and arbitrator in contract-based disputes in the U.S. and internationally. Most of Doug’s work has been in Alaska and the western United States, but assignments have ranged from Europe to South America. As a principal developer of the firm’s international contracts practice, Doug is an Honorary Fellow of the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers.

Pete’s nationwide practice focuses on representing clients in all phases and aspects of public and private procurement, including federal, state and local government contracts, and commercial contracts involving highways, maritime facilities, government installations, commercial buildings, bridges, hospitals, and schools. He also spends considerable time handling claims involving industrial projects and bid protests. Pete is a frequent speaker and lecturer on construction law issues.

Mike joined Oles Morrison after serving for nearly three years as Attorney General for the state of Alaska (2012 – 2014). A lifelong Alaskan, his practice focuses on areas and industries reflecting Alaska’s growth and history, including construction and natural resources. Throughout his 36 year career, he has been involved in numerous complex cases and has appeared before the Alaska Supreme Court on a variety of topics.
